Secure your lists and move to a new phone
Secure your shopping lists once with Face ID or your fingerprint, and move your lists to a new phone without a password.
Set up
Securing your lists adds a passkey, the key that signs you back into them on a new phone.
- Open Settings › Secure lists › Secure my lists.
- If Your name appears, type your name and tap Save, or Skip.
- Confirm on your phone (iPhone: Confirm with Face ID or your passcode, Android: Confirm with your fingerprint or screen lock).
Done when Your lists are safe shows. Still Secure your lists? The passkey is only on this phone and won’t reach a new one: turn on syncing (iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager) and try again.
New phone
- Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account, so your passkey is there too.
- Install SuperPlan. Lists, recipes and collections usually come back on their own (Restoring your lists).
- Empty list? Tap Settings › Secure lists › Already set up? › Restore my lists and confirm.
Second phone
Only need one list there? Share it and join it (share a list). Nothing gets replaced.
Want all lists and recipes? Tap Restore my lists there (under Switched phones? or Already set up?).
Lists gone?
- We couldn’t restore your lists: tap Try again or try later.
- No connection: check your internet connection, then tap Try again or Continue anyway: lists load once you’re online.
- Android reinstall: only secured lists and recipes come back, if needed through Already set up? › Restore my lists.
- Shared lists: ask another member for a new invite link.
Don’t tap Start fresh: it gives this phone a new, empty list. Your old lists stay online, but restoring them later replaces anything added since.
Lost phone
- Secured: follow New phone.
- Not secured: personal lists and recipes are lost. Rejoin shared lists with a new invite link (Lists gone?).
Then secure the new phone (Set up).
