Shared shopping list: share by WhatsApp or link
To make a shared shopping list, tap the share icon (Share) at the top and send the link by WhatsApp or any app. Whoever joins can add and check off items, no account needed.
Create a shared list and share the link
For a separate list, tap the list name at the top, then New list (more on lists).
- Tap the share icon (Share) at the top right.
- If asked for Your name, enter it or tap Skip.
- Tap Share link, SMS or the copy icon (Copy link).
Anyone with the link becomes a member of this list. The link is valid for 7 days. If no link appears, the app says Couldn’t create the link. Check your connection and tap the retry icon (Try again).
In person, tap the QR icon (Via Scan) for them to scan. To add someone you already share a list with, tap them under Share directly with: they’re added right away, with nothing to confirm on their side.
Share on WhatsApp, or with a group
Tap WhatsApp and pick a chat or a group. In a group, only people who tap the link and then Join become members (joining by link).
Once someone else is on the list, the members’ bubbles replace the share icon. To invite more, tap them or Settings › Members, then Invite people.
Couples, families and groups: who can do what
Everyone on a list can do the same: add, check off, edit and remove items, rename the list, change the category order and invite others. Nobody can remove anyone; people leave on their own.
See who’s on it in Settings › Members. Changes not showing? See not updating.
iPhone and Android together
iPhone and Android mix freely on one list; everyone needs the free app (supported versions). There’s no web version: without the app, the link only opens a page with the invitation.
iPhone
On iPhone, get SuperPlan from the App Store.
Android
On Android, get SuperPlan from Google Play.
Invited the wrong person?
Nobody can be removed, so start over:
- Create a new list and share it with the right people only.
- Add what you still need.
- Leave the old list in Settings with Leave list (leaving a list). The other person keeps it.
