Check off, edit or remove items
Your shopping list works as a check-off list: tap an item as you shop and it moves down to Recommended, where one tap brings it back.
Check off and undo
Tap an item to check it off; tap it again right away to cancel. Checked-off items move to Recommended at the bottom. Tap one there to put it back with its amount and note, or tap the header to collapse the section.
Everyone on the list sees your check-offs within seconds (list not updating?).
Edit
Long-press an item to edit it. Changes save as you go; Done closes the editor.
- Note takes free text, such as a brand.
- Pick a size or set your own amount with the pencil, or set the count with minus and plus.
- Tag chips switch variants such as organic on or off.
- Category appears only for unrecognised items (file them).
Items can’t be renamed: add the right one and remove the old one.
Remove
An item still on the list can’t be removed directly:
- Check it off.
- Long-press it under Recommended.
- Tap Remove.
This removes it for everyone on the list and can’t be undone. Common staples in Recommended can’t be removed: they’re suggestions.
Remove several
Each removal restarts the window. During a clean-up, don’t long-press anything you want to keep.
Suggestions
Open the Add item field without typing, and tiles show items you’ve checked off on this list, topped up with common staples. Recommended mixes the same two: your checked-off items first, then staples.
The staples are a fixed list of everyday items for your country, not based on what you buy. A removed item can come back as a staple suggestion.
