Invited to a shopping list? How to join
Got a shopping list invite? Tap the link, then tap Join in SuperPlan. You need the free app for that.
After installing the app
The invite isn’t carried through the install, so:
- Install SuperPlan and open it once.
- Go back to the chat and tap the link again.
- SuperPlan shows Join list: who shared which list (Someone if they haven’t set a name) and how many members it has. Tap Join, or Cancel to say no.
The list opens as your current list. Your own list, Weekly shop, stays; to switch, tap the list name at the top (Lists). Already on that list? Then the link just opens it.
Set your name in Settings › Account › Display name, or the others see Guest.
Link expired
The app shows Link expired: This link has expired. Tap Close.
Invite links are valid for 7 days. Ask the person to share the list again, then tap the new link. On their side, that’s the share icon (Share) or, once the list is shared, Settings › Members › Invite people (sharing a list).
Invalid link
The app shows Invalid link: This link is invalid or the list no longer exists.
- No connection: your phone was offline when you opened the link. Check your connection and tap the link again.
- Cut-off link: part of the link was lost when it was copied.
- List gone: everyone left the list, so it no longer exists.
If it keeps happening, ask for a new link.
Link opens in the browser
Without SuperPlan installed, the link opens a web page with the invitation; there’s no web version of the list. Install the free app, then tap the link again (after installing).
iPhone
On iPhone, get SuperPlan from the App Store.
Android
On Android, the page offers a Google Play button.
Have the app and the page still opens? Tap the page’s button to open SuperPlan, or open the link straight from the chat instead of pasting it into the browser.
