Recipe app with shopping list built in
SuperPlan is a recipe app with a shopping list built in: to go from recipe to shopping list, pick recipes, adjust the servings, deselect what you have and add the rest in one tap.
Adjust servings
Open a recipe, tap Add ingredients to a list and set the Servings: every amount is scaled for the list, with things you buy whole rounded to halves. The saved recipe doesn’t change. A recipe that states no servings goes on as written.
Have more than one list? Pick one under Which list?.
What you already have
Tap each ingredient you already have to move it to Already in stock (tap it again to bring it back). Some kitchen basics may start there. Your choices start fresh every time; nothing is remembered for the next shop.
Tap the add button at the bottom; View then jumps to the list. There’s no undo, so remove extras on the list itself (remove items).
Several recipes for the week
- In Recipes, tap the circle icon with a check mark beside the recipes heading.
- Select the recipes, then tap Shopping list.
- SuperPlan asks once for all of them: How many servings? Set the number and tap the add button.
Each recipe is scaled from its own servings, and everything lands on the list you have open. This shortcut skips Already in stock and the list choice; for those, add each recipe on its own.
Ingredients that appear more than once
The same ingredient in several recipes becomes one row, with amounts in the same unit added up. An item already on the list gets a bigger amount instead of a second row. An ingredient without any amount that’s already on the list stays as it is; if that applies to all of them, the message says everything was already there.
These stay separate rows:
- different kinds of units, such as spoons and milliliters;
- items with a different note;
- items already checked off, since buying again counts as a new purchase.
Adding the same recipe twice doubles its amounts.
